The Casterton Town Hall was built in 1937 as a civic hall and municipal chambers. This Moderne-style building also functioned for many years as Casterton's movie theatre.
Today the town halI remains a vital part of this community, as a Council customer service centre, branch library, meeting rooms and hall.
This conservation management plan was commissioned by the Glenelg Shire Council, the owners of the building, to assess its heritage significance and to provide guidance and recommendations to the Council for its future management and conservation.
