Building through the Golden Gate

A study of architectural influences from trans-Pacific trade and migration between Australia and California 1849-1914. The study also covered architectural influences from other parts of the Pacific including Hawaii, Japan, China and New Zealand.

Prefabricated housing exported from Hobart, Australia to Monterey, California during the Californian Gold Rush, prior to their demolition in the 1920s.
